Non-Owned Releases

The Non-Owned Releases option allows for the release of inventory from customer lots that were previously inducted or added to the system as non-owned inductions. Releases are specific to a single customer and location. Releasing inventory through this screen will update inventory balances so that the system will correctly reflect the on-hand and available balances of non-owned inventory items for each customer's inventory by location.

It does not update your regular inventory, however, since your customers' inventories are kept separate from your own.

Non-Owned Release Fields

Customer	The customer ID and name of the customer who owns the non-owner lot that is being released.
Location	The location from which the non-owner items are being released.
Cust Rel #	The customer supplied release or reference number for the release.
Carrier	The carrier to be used to deliver the released inventory.
Desc	A note or message for the release.
Release #	A reference number assigned by the system to uniquely identify this release.
By Whom	The person requesting the release.
Date Ordered	The date the release order was placed.
Date Released	The date the inventory is scheduled to be released or shipped.
Status	The status of the release. O – Open C – Completed
Item	The item code.
Item Name	The name of the item.
Frz Lot	The lot number from which the item is being released.
Amount	The quantity of the item being released.
Un	The stocking unit of measure.
Balance	The remaining or available balance.
